With the greatest of intentions I started my new year ready to get my creative juices flowing and make more product for my Etsy shop. Here we are 2 months later and I have made one piece. What have I been doing? It has been a busy few months.
Since JD and I are expecting our second child in May, my wedding season started early. All of my spring and early summer brides have been coming in so I can get everything finished before my due date. While I don't plan on taking any time off, I am getting all weddings up till July done so my brides are ready for their big day with no surprises. I have also dipped back into costuming and am making costumes for a wonderful actress for her new show. I am having so much fun getting back into the world of sequins, fringe ,glitz and the attitude of more is more and for good measure just add a little more!! All of that along with custom orders, my regular clients and many new ones dropping off alterations, Threads by Chantel has kept me busy behind my machine and I couldn't be happier. Keep it coming!!!
While I have fully given up on creating one new garment a week, I still have plans for new pieces to add to the shop. I am hoping the month of March will bring a few new designs out of me. Fingers crossed!
